Welcome! First, let us introduce ourselves. We are Katja & Simon, destination wedding photographers. We travel around Europe to capture beautiful wedding stories. And France, particularly the area around Burgundy, is one of our favourite parts of this world.
How to start planning your dream wedding in Burgundy?
That being said, don't let just your brain do the decision-making. Most of the best decision we make in life are made with a gut-feeling and if you feel one place is perfect for you, go for it. Visit the place before you book (if you can) or ask for a video call, where they can show you around the venue.
In all these years, there is one thing we realised - when you start to plan your wedding, the first thing is to find your dream wedding venue. Finding a great venue is the base for all the details later on, so our advice would be to choose wisely.
But before you start....
...think about your wishes first. Ok, getting married in France is one wish, but go a bit more into detail. To help you out, here are a few questions you can ask yourself now:
Does the venue have an indoor space in case it rains?
Is it to get to the venue?
Is there a restaurant on-site, or does the venue provide catering?
Are there any guesthouses nearby?
Will all guests be staying at the venue?
Will the guests need an organised transportation?
Are we getting married in a church or town hall? Do we need the venue to be nearby?
Are we allowed to choose our own wedding planner and vendors?
