Tre Cime Elopement Dolomites with Valeria & Yegor
Tre Cime Elopement Dolomites
The Dolomites are an impressive and beautiful mountain range in Italy. Even though we travel to this part of Italy often, we always seem to discover something new. There is just so much beauty – the mountains, the lakes, the sunrises and sunsets, the green meadows, the snow in the winter…
Tre Cime di Lavaredo is one of those special corners of this world, so special it became part of the Unesco World Heritage in 2009. Although these are the Alps, the hike around the three peaks is not very difficult. For sure that was one of the reasons V & Y decided to take their photos here.
From the couple:
“We feel so lucky to have met Katja and Simon while we were looking for a photographer to capture our elopement in Italy. From the very beginning they were really engaged and proposed different locations and photoshoot ideas. We felt that we were in the right hands. It was so great to spend a day with Katja and Simon, not only because they are incredibly talented artists, but also kind and fun people, who were also our guides in the area. Needless to say how amazed we were, when we first saw our photos. It’s really an incredible feeling to see yourself in such beautiful and professionally made photos.
This is truly incredible to see yourself at such great and professionally made photos. Thank you for that truly incredible experience and for those memories that you have so precisely captured!”
The morning walk around Lago di Braies
Before doing the Tre Cime hike, we met at Lago di Braies for an early morning session. Lago di Braies is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area, so if you’re thinking of taking some elopement photos there, make sure to do it very early in the morning.
Lago di Braies really is a fantastic place, right? Terry & Ray decided to elope here too – see their story here.
Late afternoon hike at Tre Cime
After a break and a picnic-styled brunch (and a little nap on the sun), we drove towards the mountains. Rifugio Auronzo was our starting point and we parked our car there. We were welcomed by spectacular views over the valley below and couldn’t wait to start our hike. The weather was nice and sunny, which also meant there will be a lot of other people there. But the mountains are vast and it’s very easy to find a quiet little spot and just relax and enjoy. We all enjoyed spending our time together, not to mention V & J’s dog
