Vila Muhr Bohinj Wedding

Vila Muhr in Bohinj feels like a hidden alpine retreat made for modern romantics. Just a short walk from the crystal-clear waters of Lake Bohinj, it blends contemporary luxury with the coziness of traditional Slovenian alpine architecture.

The villa’s design combines dark wood, stone, and clean modern lines, creating a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere that feels both luxurious and grounded in nature. With its exquisite cuisine inspired by local flavours and seasonal ingredients, every meal becomes a culinary experience to remember.

The villa was reconstructed in 2025 and is designed to honour the original building, which served as a hunting retreat in the early 1900s and later became a royal residence, a hospital for a short period of time and finally a hotel. It was later forgotten and left neglected, all until the wooden structure collapsed in 2014. Thankfully the owners of the nearby Hotel Bohinj recognised it’s value and reconstructed it into a beautiful alpine retreat.

L&C, this beautiful couple from United States were lucky to be one of the first ones to host their intimate wedding here in the summer. They were looking for a stunning location in the nature, so what better place to go to than to Lake Bohinj in the Triglav National Park. They treated themselves and their closes friends and family to short vacation here, followed with a personal, symbolic ceremony on the lawn in front of the hotel, then ended their evening with lots of fantastic wines and amazing food at Vila Muhr Gourmet Restaurant.
