Welcome! First, let us introduce ourselves. We are Katja & Simon, destination wedding photographers. We travel around Europe to capture beautiful wedding stories. And France, especially Paris and the area around, is one of our favourite parts of this world.
How to start planning your dream wedding in Paris or nearby?
That being said, don't let just your brain do the decision-making. Most of the best decision we make in life are made with a gut-feeling and if you feel one place is perfect for you, go for it. Visit the place before you book (if you can) or ask for a video call, where they can show you around the venue.
In all these years, there is one thing we realised - when you start to plan your wedding, the first thing is to find your dream wedding venue. Finding a great venue is the base for all the details later on, so our advice would be to choose wisely.
Now, before you start....
... think about what kind of venue are you looking for. Ok, getting married in Paris is one wish, but go a bit more into detail. To help you out, here are a few questions you can ask yourself now:
Does the venue have an indoor space in case it rains?
Do we want to get married in the city or a bit outside, in the countryside?
Is there a restaurant on-site, or does the venue provide catering?
How easy is it to get to the venue?
Are there any guesthouses nearby?
Will all guests be staying at the same place and will we provide their acommodation?
Will the guests need an organised transportation?
Are we getting married in a church or town hall? Do we need the venue to be nearby?
Are we allowed to choose our own wedding planner and vendors?

If you've found the perfect place or at least narrowed it down a few, now it's time to reach out. The most popular venues are booked solid up to 2 years in advance, so don’t wait too long.
Think about it... Your wedding photos are the only thing that is left for decades to come (beside your wedding rings). So choosing a great photographer should be your priority.
