VENICE Wedding Venues
Venice is one of the most romantic cities on earth & a perfect place to elope or host your wedding.
Welcome! Let us introduce ourselves.
We are Katja & Simon, destination wedding photographers and guides. We travel around the world to capture beautiful wedding stories. And we are happy that you are here.
Why? Because Venice is one of our favourite places on Earth. are one of our favourite parts of this world.
How to start planning your dream wedding in Venice?
During our career we have photographed numerous weddings in Italy and have seen amazing places in Venice. We created this article to help you out and make your search easier.
The first thing to do when you start planning your dream wedding is finding the right place. Once you have a good feeling about their availability, you'll be able to plan everything else much easier.
But before you start....
take some time to think about what kind of wedding venue you are looking for. No doubt, there is a lot to choose from... so knowing what you want (and also what you don't want) will help you narrow the list down right at the start. Here are some questions to help you with that:
Does the venue have an indoor space in case it rains?
How easy is it to get to the venue?
Is there a restaurant on-site, or does the venue provide catering?
Is there extra accommodation available nearby for other guests?
Do we want all our guests staying at the same place?
Will the guests need an organised transportation?
Are we getting married in a church or town hall? Do we need the venue to be nearby?
Are we allowed to choose our own wedding planner and vendors?
So what's next?
If you've found wedding venue, or at least narrowed it down to a couple, it’s time to reach out. The most popular venues are booked solid up to 2 years in advance, so don’t wait too long.
If you already booked your venue and have your date set, the next thing to think about is, whether you'd like a wedding planner to help you organise your wedding.
Next on the list - Find a photographer you love!
Think about it... Your wedding photos are the only thing that is left for decades to come (beside your wedding rings). So choosing a great photographer should be your priority.
It doesn't matter if we are talking to our best friends or a strager - there are two things to consider when looking for your wedding photographer:
#1 - You must LOVE their work
#2 - Talking with them should feel like talking with an old friend. If there is no spark between you, go on and keep on looking.
